Abdel has become a sort of father figure to everyone at Vippa; he cares just as much about making sure his colleagues are well-fed as he does about the guests, and he is truly passionate about Moroccan culture. This year, he took the Vippa team on a trip through Morocco and to his hometown of Rabat. When we asked why his food stall isn’t named after his hometown, he laughed heartily and replied, “I can’t stand having all the Norwegians ask if they’re getting ‘Rabat’ on their food.”
