We bring people together over good food
Vippa is an inclusive gathering place at the tip of Vippetangen, overlooking the Oslo Fjord. Here, people, flavors, and stories from all over the world come together. It’s not just about food; it’s about building something that matters.



In 2016, we moved into what was then known as Skur 40. On the grounds of the Port of Oslo, we had the opportunity to open Vippa in 2017. It was originally a five-year temporary lease, but we’ve had it extended, now through 2030. Through Vippa, people from all over the world have learned to build a business based on their diverse experiences with cooking. At Vippa, we’re all about quality ingredients and the people behind the food!
From sugar to collection
The old warehouse, which once stored both sugar and cars, has now become a vibrant gathering place with eight food stalls, events, and a diverse crowd. Since we opened in 2017, our goal has been to create a place where people can come together across cultures, backgrounds, and experiences.
Even though we are a food hall, it’s about more than just what’s on the plate. Food is a language that brings culture and people together. At the stalls at Vippa, you’ll find everything from experienced chefs to new voices in the food industry—people who share their traditions, recipes, and stories through the food they serve.
Together, we actively work to build an open and inclusive environment—a place where new ideas can take root and small entrepreneurs have the opportunity to grow. We believe in short supply chains, high-quality ingredients, and getting to know the people behind the food.

We are Vippa
We go to work every day to bring Vippa’s vision to life: to create a space where farmers, fishermen, and other producers, as well as novice and experienced chefs, and people from both Oslo and the rest of the world can come together and share ideas and thoughts on how we can work together to create a better and healthier planet.
